AdBlock No – Colorful Tabs Yes
Chris on Thermal blog asked yesterday if anyone was using AdBlock Plus with Firefox, and cited my unfortunate experience in clicking a particular link on his site, saying that if I had this add on installed that it wouldn’t have happened. That is entirely true! I did try AdBlock Plus for a while yesterday, but as it turns out, it was more trouble than it was worth. I am sure it is a fine tool, but for the kind of browsing I do (genealogy sites, Pogo game rooms, other blogs, etc.) it just wasn’t practical for me.
Even though I didn’t continue to use AdBlock, I did download the nifty Colorful Tabs add-on. I really like it, especially when I am writing an opp for PayPerPost and have to switch between two or three tabs.

What didn’t you like about Adblock? You know you can disable it for individual sites as needed?

I did disable it for some sites I visit regularly, but there were so many that it was just easier not to use it at all. I am using the faster Firefox add on too.
