Create A Family Tree In Power Point: Is It Worth It?

I am not real familiar with making presentations in Power Point. Do you think this would actually be beneficial to someone for a family reunion, or any kind of genealogical gathering?

For those of you who are creative in a different direction, such as digital scrapbooking, Jasia at Creative Gene has done a guest post on Shades of the Departed about that very topic. It is very detailed and I think that might be a little more up my alley. Read Digital Scrapbooking for Genealogists. It’s a great article and I give it two thumbs up!

I do memorial DVDs for families, and this can work, but for better quality it is better to use video editing software, and use a DVD format. I work with families that do use powerpoint, and it does work fine, so yes it can do the trick, but for best results video software.

You know, it might be good for someone who wants to put together a nice presentation for a memorial too. I have thought of doing one even for my grandkids so they can have a “movie” of their ancestors. The possibilities are endless!

I know my family is big into family geneolgy, and something like this would go over real well at a family reunion.
