From Six Mothers - Many Tribes

I think it was when I read Clan Of the Cave Bear many years ago that I ceased to think of Indians in the United States in the stereotypical way I had most of my previous life. You know what I mean. The "TV" and "Movie" Indians who were always painted (no pun intended) as the bad guys. Truth be told, it's the Native American Indians who have always been treated badly overall.

Migration from Asia to the Americas

The embedded content here from Voxant caught my eye because I am used to looking at genetics from a purely "white woman" point of view (because I am one), and seeing my lineage as the latecomers to this continent. Thousands of years before the mass migration from Europe began though, our cousins the American Indians were here and flourishing. I guess what I am trying to convey is that instead of vilifying the First Ones we should be admiring them for their fortitude and quit seeing them as Tonto or Cochise and more as fore-bearers.
