Genealogical Social Networking Resources

The genealogical community is one of the best when it comes to the abundance of ways you can connect with other researchers.

Did you know that the LDS Church has a site called FamilySearch Labs that is currently seeking feedback on family history technologies that are not quite ready for full release to the  public just yet? They invite you to take a look at these new toys and give them your opinions. You might want to visit their blog too, just to see what’s going on this week. I don’t know about you, but I love new genealogy stuff!

Here are some other genealogy social networking sites that were listed in Family Tree Magazine, January 2008 edition:

FindMyPast

Shared Tree

Living Genealogy.com

We Relate

The sites below have a few social networking enhancements too:

Genes Reunited

NokTree.com

And, if you want to share photos and news with your family, here are three you might try:

Footnote

Amiglia

Geni

By the way, if you find my ancestor Miles Yates, would you please let me know? He seems to have fallen off the face of the earth…
