GenealogyInTime Magazine Releases Top 100 #Genealogy Websites List

Top 100 Most Popular #Genealogy Websites

Congratulations to to the 100 genealogy sites on this list!

Some of the members are even online acquaintances of mine.  A nod of recognition goes to Randy Seaver’s Genea-Musings; to Linkpendium and Geneabloggers (Brian and Karen Leverich, et al, and Thomas MacEntee respectively).  You’ll see links to those last two in my sidebar here  on iPentimento.  Every single one of these sites work very hard to make sure you can quickly find the genealogical information you want and need.

  1. This is a great resource for finding out about one’s family history. Let’s not forget that there are millions of records that can be used for genealogy research held by National Archive facilities all around the country. While online resources are great for getting started, it is important that we don’t discount the fact that there are a great deal of records that have not yet been digitized. There is no substitute for actually holding the original documents in your hands!
