Jordan Gals With Glasses For Footnote Maven

Jacob Tillman Jordan fix

In honor of our good friend Footnote Maven (aka fM) of Shades of the Departed blog. I’m writing this article about Jim’s Jordan ancestors, and adding some pictures of them in glasses. I hope seeing them will bring some cheer to her. Today is her birthday and we’re all thinking of her and wishing her healing energy.

And so, without further adieu, here are the ladies of the Jordan family.

Jim is descended from Mary Rachel Jordan and Charles Levi Bean as seen in this picture of the husband.

Mary Rachel Jordan is the daughter of Jacob Tillman and Nancy Haga Jordan. Below is their pictures.

Special thanks to Evelyn Bliss, a descendant of the Susan Jordan Boorom line for sharing some of these pictures with me many, many years ago.

2011 Memorial Day – Veterans

Yates and Allied Families

Wilkerson and Allied Families

On every Memorial Day I remember all of my family members who have passed on. Not all of the people in this collage have passed, but many of them have.  I feel it’s important to thank our veterans whenever we can, and so I post this picture and thank our family members for their service.

If you are a member of either family and have served in the military, please come by and leave a comment with your branch of service and era in which you served.
