Make Your WordPress Blog Touch Technology Compatible
I began using the WPtouch plugin quite some time ago, but until recently I didn’t really take the time to set it up to make it personal for this blog. Not that it’s so difficult, just that I didn’t have time.
Last night, after making my button personalizations, I signed up to be an affiliate for the plugin. The image above is just a reference to my widget to the right sidebar, but there are no affiliate links in this particular post. I just wanted to make my WordPress blog friends aware of the plugin (you can get it for free if you like from the WordPress.org site and try it out before buying the Pro version ).
I believe it’s important to keep up with technology when it comes to making your blog work with associated applications. The whole point of WPtouch whether Pro or free, is that it transforms your WordPress blog into an iPhone application style theme.
The admin panel allows you to customize many aspects of its appearance, and deliver a fast, user-friendly and stylish version of your site to iPhone, iPod touch, Android, Palm Pre, Samsung touch and BlackBerry Storm/Torch visitors, without modifying a single bit of code (or affecting) your regular desktop theme.
As you can imagine, the Pro version gives you even more color, style and theme choices, with the ability to add advertising. iPad support will be coming with the WPtouch Pro 2.1 version.
At this point, I don’t own any touch technology do-dads, so I can’t be sure what my newly created personal buttons look like on your iPhone, etc. If you do add this blog to your touch communication/entertainment device, and the button images look “wonky” please let me know so I can tweak them.
